Travel Watts app for iPhone and iPad

Travel Watts is an "honor system" cycling trainer that runs on your mobile phone or tablet. Use any fitness equipment to connect to workout games like Zwift, Rouvy, TrainerRoad, or The Sufferfest when you are on the road and dont have access to your regular trainer. You can use Travel Watts with any fitness machine that reports power.

- How It Works: Manual Mode

In manual mode, you simply adjust the power you are producing on a fitness machine by tapping buttons in the app. The app then reports that power to Zwift or other workout applications over Bluetooth.

- Erg Mode Support

Workout games offer structured workouts during which you move between different power set points in the workout. With an actual cycling trainer, erg mode adjusts the resistance you feel on the pedals.

Travel Watts has no pedals, so it will simply change your reported power to match the power level requested by the workout application. Its up to you to match that power level on the fitness equipment you are using.

- FTP Boost Adjustment

Cycling is one of the most efficient ways that a human can produce power. If you are using a treadmill, rower, or other type of equipment, you can apply a boost factor to more closely match your cycling FTP so you dont have to change it in the workout application. For example, rowing is roughly 30% less efficient than cycling so using an FTP boost of 30% will get you somewhere close to your usual cycling FTP for the same level of physical exertion.

- Travel Watts Trial Workouts, Monthly, and Annual Passes

Travel Watts is user-supported software. After installing the app, youll get 7 free day passes so you can evaluate it and determine if it will work with your devices and workout games. After that, you support future Travel Watts development by purchasing $1 monthly passes or annual passes for $10.
